Your gua number is your guardian star in Feng Shui. It says a lot about your character and how you relate to others. People with the same gua number will, therefore, share similarities in their behavior, likes, and dislikes. Your gua number also determines your best sleeping and working/studying directions. For example, a female born in 1968 should sleep with her head pointed north. This will bring her peace and stability. Her worst sleeping direction is the southwest. Sleeping toward this direction might cause her to lose her job.

There are only two things you need to determine your personal gua number; your year of birth and your gender. After you figure out your personal gua number, you then can learn about your innate character, which we think will be strikingly similar to what you already know about yourself. You'll also understand how you affect - and are affected by - other people. Are you the controlled or the controller? Do you support, or are you supported?
